About
A smaller tool with clearer boundaries
TextClean is an experiment in making everyday text cleanup fast without turning pasted text into data. The cleaner runs in the browser, keeps the original visible, and reports which transformations changed the result.
What it is for
It is designed for hard-wrapped PDF text, Markdown and AI-chat formatting, awkward spacing, HTML fragments, citations, long dashes, duplicated lists, invisible Unicode, case conversion, and careful find and replace.
How changes are chosen
TextClean is independently operated. New tools begin with a distinct cleanup job, public examples, known limitations, and a test that fails when the promised behavior regresses. Search-impression data may guide priorities, but each indexed page must remain useful on its own.
What it does not do
It does not upload PDF files, run OCR, rewrite ideas, detect whether writing came from AI, or promise that automatic cleanup understands every language and document structure.
How it is funded
The one-year experiment is designed to use clearly separated display advertising around the tool and its explanatory content. The cleaner must remain usable without interacting with an ad, and pasted text must never be shared with an advertising provider.
